RETAIL PRICING

We do not publish retail price lists.  However, we are responsible for setting the Canadian suggested retail prices for our products.  If you would like to receive a retail quote for a particular model, please e-mail us: .  Be sure to include your name, the manufacturer, and the model number or product description.

Our goal is to provide fair pricing to Canadians.  We respond quickly to currency fluctuations but please understand that we cannot and will not change pricing on a daily or weekly basis.

When comparing US pricing beware: the price you see on-line is NOT your landed cost!  If you order from the United States, you can expect to pay:

  • A two to four percent premium on the published exchange rate (the banks need to make money!) In addition to working with a buy-sell spread, most credit card companies charge an additional currency conversion fee of more than two percent.  It pays to read the fine print.
  • Shipping charges.
  • A brokerage fee (typically $30 to $60) to clear the shipment.
  • Five to ten percent duty if the product is not manufactured in North America (which is just about everything these days!)
  • All relevant sales taxes (PST, GST, and/or HST).

It is very common to see products purchased in the United States and shipped to Canada with a landed cost 20% higher before factoring in exchange and taxes.

In addition, most Canadian distributors (us included) will not honour warranties for product purchased outside the country.  Should whatever you’re buying break (in or out of warranty), you could be looking at hundreds of dollars in shipping and brokerage fees to get it repaired.

We’re not trying to scare you into buying Canadian, but we encourage you to do your homework so there are no surprises.  As is sometimes the case, too good to be true is too good to be true!
